About Full Circle Forestry Collective

Our Organization

Our collective formed in the wake of Hurricane Helene as we came together to support our neighbors in dealing with the devastation.

We recognize the need to develop long-term solutions for our forests and our communities. Hurricane Helene brought catastrophic damage to our forests, creating risk for massive wildfires. Additionally, many people in our community rely on wood to heat their homes and need lumber to rebuild after the storm. We recognize that the solution is in the problem. Our work is simple. Our forestry crews perform fuels reduction operations and tree removal and then turn those hazardous materials into firewood to warm our community.

Education and community engagement are also central components of our work. We help landowners craft sustainable forest stewardship plans, host workshops with topics ranging from tree identification to wildfire preparedness, and provide one-on-one consultation services. Through our work, we are preparing our community and our forests to be sustainable in the face of an uncertain future.

Our Mission

Full Circle Forestry Collective is dedicated to finding and implementing sustainable forestry solutions that address the most pressing social and ecological issues facing our community.

Our Values

2. Service
3. Equity
4. Adaptability
5. Collaboration

Sustainability - We are committed to implementing forestry and land management services that provide a sustainable framework for the forest and the communities we serve.

Service - The work of our collective is rooted in service to our community and the land. We listen to the people we serve and design programs and services to meet their needs.

Equity - We firmly believe that everyone is deserving of a safe, warm home, regardless of socioeconomic status, and we make our programs and services accessible to all.

Adaptability - We are living in changing times. We recognize that environmental conditions change, storms come and go, and fires change with the seasons. The needs of our communities change too. We are dedicated to implementing adaptive management both in the forest and with the programs we offer to the community.

Collaboration - It takes a community to build a community. We believe in working together and prioritize building relationships with fellow community members and other amazing regional organizations.
